A map of the naval Battle of Vigo Bay, fought on 23 October 1702 between the Anglo-Dutch fleet, commanded by Admiral Sir George Rooke (c.1650-1709), and Lieutenant-Admiral Philips van Almonde (1644-1711), and the French and Spanish fleets commanded by Vice-Admiral François Louis de Rousselet, marquis de Châteaurenault (1637-1716) and Manuel de Velasco y Tejada, resulting in an Anglo-Dutch victory. War of the Spanish Succession (1701-14). Oriented with north to top (compass rose).
