A map of the siege of Saint-Venant, 6-30 September 1710, gained by the Allies, commanded by John William Friso, Prince of Orange (1687-1711). War of the Spanish Succession (1701-14). Oriented with north to top.

The date of 30 September for the surrender of the fortress is taken from Ostwald (2007), p.343.

The map shows the lines of circumvallation and other siegeworks and the settlements of Haveskerque (50°38'27"N 02°32'29"E) and Flury (Saint-Floris 50°37'41"N 02°34'13"E).

Condition: two fold lines. Verso: some offsetting on verso from another copy of the same map; bottom, right of centre, water-stained patch, shadow and ghosting from the removal of Cumberland's cipher label [half the label has been cropped].
