A map of the Allied lines on the German side of the Rhine from Bühl to Fort-Louis on the French side of the river, taken by the French, commanded by Claude Louis Hector de Villars (1653-1734) on 23 May 1707. War of the Spanish Succession (1701-14). Oriented with north to top (compass rose).

The lines pass through or near the following settlements: Selin (Söllingen 48°46'42"N 08°03'26"E), Stollhofen, Finbich (Vimbuch 48°43'16"N 08°06'46"E) and OberBihl (Bühl).

Johannes Covens and Cornelis Mortier formed their company in November 1721. The firm acquired some of Allard's copperplates and re-issued them. This map is a reprint of Allard’s original at RCIN 725092.
