The map covers an area extending along the Rhine from Ketsch (49°22'04"N 08°31'52"E), just north of Spire (Speyer) in the north, to Strasbourg (48°35'00"N 07°44'34"E) in the south, and from Werdt (Woerth 48°56'22"N 07°44'34"E) in the west to Pforsheim (Pforzheim 48°53'03"N 08°41'56"E) in the east.
