A high oblique view of the siege and capture of Spanish-held Maastricht from 9 June to 22 August 1632 by Frederick Henry, Prince of Orange (29 January 1584-14 March 1647). Eighty Years War (1568-1649). Oriented with east-north-east to top.

This view/map shows Maastricht's high medieval walls, with its numerous towers and occasional earth bastions and demi-lunes, surrounded by Frederick Henry's lines of circumvallation and strongly reinforced line of contravallation. The Dutch flag is planted all along the lines at strategic points.
