A medium-high oblique view and letterpress text describing the capture of the fortress of Schenkenschanz on 27/28 July 1635 by the Spanish army commanded by Cardinal-Infante Ferdinand of Austria (1609/1610-9 November 1641). Eighty Years War (1568-1648). Oriented with north to top.

Watermark: Map and text: none visible. Mount: none.
Condition: six fold lines; originally folded to 9.4 x 8.5 cm; worn, torn and surface dirt along folds on verso; map and text were pasted together before being folded, becoming worn and dirty before being mounted by Dal Pozzo. Verso: ink smudges and palm prints, and brown staining. The mount has surface dirt and foxing to the edges of both sides. Pressure marks from the mounts of items which were kept above and below this print in a different collection are present on the recto and verso
