A high oblique view showing the siege of Dutch-held Bergen op Zoom by the Spaniards commanded by Ambrogio Spinola 1st Marquis of the Balbases (1569-25 September 1630) and Luis de Velasco, 2nd Count of Salazar (1559-1625) between 18 July and 3 October 1622, resulting in a Dutch victory following the arrival of a relief army commanded by Maurice of Nassau (14 November 1567-23 April 1625) and Ernst von Mansfeld (c.1580-29 November 1626).
