A high oblique view/map showing the arrival from Zeeland of the Dutch fleet and army, commanded by Maurice of Nassau (14 November 1567-23 April 1625), on the shores of Cadzand and their progress towards Sluis in May 1604. The Eighty Years War (Dutch War of Independence) (1568-1648). Oriented with west-north-west to top.

This view extends from Cats (Kats, Zeeland 51°34ʹ03ʺN  03°53ʹ05ʺE) in the north to Cadzand in the south and as far inland as a line connecting Sluis with Sas van Gent (51°13ʹ39ʺN  03°47ʹ55ʺE). The multiplicity of small forts which Maurice took and occupied is shown throughout the whole area.
