In the aftermath of the battle, Jervis was made Baron Jervis of Meaford and Earl St Vincent, and Nelson was knighted as a member of the Order of the Bath.
Additional text: [bottom centre, below title:] The time here represented is between four and five o Clock in the Evening a little before the Fireing had ceased, shewing the Victory ranging up astern of the Salvador del Mundo, the Captain of 74 Guns, boarding at one time two Spanish Ships the St Joseph of 112 Guns and the S.t Nicholas of 84 Guns hauling down their Colours and taking possession of them on the other hand a Number of fresh Spanish Ships are coming to the Assistance of their Admiral in the Santissima Trinidad which escaped.
