A map of the country south of old Berlin showing the disposition of 20 squadrons of horse and 20 battalions at a review in the presence of Frederick William I, King of Prussia and Elector of Brandenburg (1688-1740) and Frederick Augustus, King of Poland and Elector of Saxony (1670-1733). Oriented with north to top.

The Polish king had paid a return state visit to Prussia between 26 May and 13 June 1728. During the visit, military reviews were held on 27 and 31 May, 2 June, with further military exercises on 5 June. It is not known to which date this map applies.

The review took place in an area which now forms the southern suburbs of Berlin, centred on Tempelhof (52°28ʹ00ʺN 13°24ʹ00ʺE) and extending from Schönberg (52°29ʹ02ʺN 13°20ʹ52ʺE) in the north-west to Tripto (Alt-Treptow 52°29ʹ19ʺN 13°27ʹ31ʺE) in the north-east, and from Lichterfeldt (Lichterfelde 52°36ʹ00ʺN 13°18ʹ27ʺE) and Steglitz (52°27ʹ22ʺN 13°19ʹ55ʺE) in the west to Britz (52°26ʹ35ʺN 13°26ʹ02ʺE) in the south-east.
