A view with text of the Dutch artillery camp at Breda in 1769.

This artillery camp was held in 1769 on the Vrachelse Heide between Teteringen and Oosterhout, to the north-east of Breda. See van Mosselveld 1958, pp.1-5, which gives the background history to this plot of land which was used for artillery practice. According to van Mossveld, the archives relating to this camp which were preserved in the Krijgsgeschiedkundige Afdeling van de Generale Staf, were burned during the war. A poor reproduction of a map of the camp appeared in an article by de Bas 1916, p.63.
