With a flap, pasted to the base map, showing different positions during the exercises. The geographical area covered lies to the immediate north of Osnabrück, on the edge of present-day urban development, and is bounded by the rivers Nette to the south and Hase to the west. Route 68, the Bramscher Strasse runs through the area, as its forebear did in 1769. Arable or cultivated land is shown by conventional stripes representing tilled land; pasture land is shown in green.
