A view of the encampment on Hounslow Heath in 1740. William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland, was present at this encampment, which took place under the command of General Sir Charles Wills (1666-1741). Cumberland's tent is marked with an asterisk, and is at the head of the row of tents between streets ‘c’ and ‘d’.
