This order of battle in one line probably refers to one of the reviews undertaken by George II during his first visit to Hanover as King of Great Britain in the summer of 1729, which were held on the heathlands to the east of Hanover, in the area of the Eilenriede forests, in the vicinity of the Pferdeturm, a medieval tower.
The General Officers are Lieutenant-Generals Melville, Hardenberg; Major-Generals Hassberg, Campen; Brigadiers Wendt, Schwaan, Wurmb, Pontpietin. The regiments are named and made up of twelve battalions and 18 squadrons with a total of 12,000 troops.
Condition: seven fold lines; creased; brown stains; unevenly trimmed. Verso: surface dirt.
