A high oblique view and map of the successful Venetian raid on Çeşme on 14 May 1647. Cretan War (Fifth Ottoman-Venetian War 1645-1669). Oriented with north to top (cardinal points).

The print shows the coastline of Turkey from the area of present-day Assos [classical Assus] (39°29ʹ36ʺN 26°19ʹʺE) in the north (on the coast north of 'S. annonia') to just south of the island of Chios, perhaps as far as ancient Ephesus (37°56ʹ23ʺN 27°20ʹ27ʺE). The Turkish fleet is shown retreating to Mytilene on Lesbos.
