This is a re-issue, with a new title but no alterations to the positions of the encampments, of an earlier map by Visscher entitled ‘NIEUWE KAART VAN 'T GRAAFSCHAP NAMEN, MET EEN GROOT GEDEELTE VAN 'T HERTOGDOM BRABANT, / waar in aangewesen zyn de Campementen en Marches der Geallieerde en France Legers zoo tot Ontzet, als tot het Beleg van de zeer stercke Stad en Kasteel van Namen, van d’eerste mouvementen af, tot de berenning van dien, 1692’ in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France GE DD-2987 (4422).
The map extends from Dillebeeck (Dilbeek, Flanders, Belgium 50°50ʹ53ʺN 04°15ʹ35ʺE) in the north-west to Leeuw (Leuven, Flanders, Belgium 50°52ʹ47ʺN 04°42ʹ03ʺE) in the north-east, and from west of Dimont (Dimont, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France 50°10ʹ57ʺN 04°01ʹ14ʺE) in the south-west to Huy (Huy, Walloon Region, Belgium 50°31ʹ08ʺN 05°13ʹ58ʺE) and just south of Dinant (Dinant, Walloon Region, Belgium 50°15ʹ29ʺN 04°54ʹ42ʺE) in the south-east.

Condition: two fold lines; brown discolouration; top right corner creased, perhaps formerly folded over. Verso: considerable surface dirt and brown discolouration and stains; bottom, right of centre, water-stained patch from the removal of Cumberland's cipher label; strip of white paper pasted along top edge, perhaps to repair and old tear to the top of the fold line; brown ink spots; fragments from another map adhering to the paper.
