Engraving and etching; printed on paper | Scale: not stated. 1:30,000 approx. | RCIN 726091

A map of the siege of Swedish-held Stralsund, under the command of Charles XII of Sweden (1682-1718) from 12 July-24 December 1715, by Danish, Saxon and Prussian troops commanded by the Danish General Carl Rudolf, Duke of Württemberg-Neuenstadt (1667-1742), resulting in an Allied victory. Great Northern War (1700-1721). Oriented with east-south-east to top.

The approach parallels, trenches, lines of circumvallation and encampments of the Danish, Prussian and Saxon troops are shown. The encampments appear to be laid out in order of battle and the general officers and regiments are named.

The map extends from Grossen Baro (Parow 54°21'07"N 13°04'10"E) in the north to Andershoff (Andershof 54°16'35"N 13°06'26"E) in the south, and from the Putter See (Pütter See 54°17'45"N 12°59'35"E) in the west to Dänholm (54°18'27"N 13°07'09"E) in the east.
