A map of the Battle of Stavuchany, fought on 28 August 1739 between the Russian army, commanded by Field Marshal Burkhard Christoph von Munnich (1683-1767), and the Turkish army, resulting in a Russian victory. Russo-Turkish War (1735-9). Oriented with south-west to top.

Field Marshal von Münnich had led his army through Poland and attacked the Turkish army at its camp at Stavutschane (or Stavuchany), driving them away, before going on to take Khotyn (Choczim) and Jassy (or Iași).
