A plan of encampment layout, 1756. Seven Years War (1756-63).

BL Add MS 15532: [6th f. numbered, top right of verso:] 2. 'Proportions to be observed in Encamping a Regiment. of Dragoons ... consisting of Six Troops forming Three Squad:ns with their Light Troops.' [Followed by text, and: ] 'Proportions to be observed in Encamping a Battn of Foot consisting of Nine Companies.'
Watermark: fleur-de-lys in crowned shield a '4' suspending the letters L V G below.
Size: 33.9 x 50.8 cm (image).
[7th f. numbered, top right, black pencil:] 3 'Plan of the Encampment of a Regim of Dragoons forming 3 Squadrons with their Light Troop; and a Batt of Foot consisting of Nine Comps of 100 Men each.'
Watermark: fleur-de-lys in crowned shield a '4' suspending the letters L V G below.
Size: 30.2 x 53.9 cm (image). [This diagram is not so neatly executed as the K.Mil. copy, and all the lettering is in sloping copperplate, whereas that on the K.Mil. plans is differentiated.] Both of these items may be in Morrison's hand.
