A map of the encampment of German troops at Hameln up to 30 April 1757. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with west to top. 

The encamped squadrons and battalions of the following regiments are: First Line: Grenadiers a Cheval; de Busch; de Bock; Garde du Corps; Reden; Regiment du Corps; Gardes; Diepenbroick; Druchtleben; Scheiter; Post; Fabrice; Kielmansegge; Block; Saxe Gothe; Brunck; Zastrow; Leib. Regiment. Second Line: Dachenhausen; Heimburg; Gilten; Scköln; Spörken; Hodenberg; Zastrow; Knesebeck; Fusiliers; Stoltzenberg; Zandré; Hardenberg; Oberg; Behr; Imhoff; Parc d'Art: Hanovrien; Parc d'Art: de Bronsvic. 

The scale to the map, and the key to the conventional signs used to represent the troops is given on RCIN 732201.ai, headed 'Remarques'. The troop rectangles are coloured according to nationality: Hanoverian (red), Prussian (green), Brunswickian (yellow), Hessian (blue), French (lilac).
