A map of the encampment of George II's German troops at Neuhaus, 20 May 1757. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with west-north-west to top (cardinal points on RCIN 732201.j). 

The distance between the previous encampment at Schlangen and Neuhaus is about 10 km (6 miles). The encamped squadrons and battalions of the following regiments were: First Line: Train d'Artillerie Hanov; Gardes; Kielmansegge; Hardenberg; Zandré; Post; Zastrow; Ledebur; Oberg; Pr Anhalt; Hanau; Haudring; Mansbach; Pr Charle; Regt du Corps; Sax Gothe; Train d'Artillerie Hessois. Second Line: Bock; Heimbourg; Regt. du Corps; Gilten; Isenburg; Pr Guillaume; Regt du Corps; Dragons du Corps.

The scale to the map, and the key to the conventional signs used to represent the troops is given on N.o XXXII, headed 'Remarques' (RCIN 732200.ag). The troop rectangles are coloured according to nationality: Hanoverian (red), Prussian (green), Brunswickian (yellow), Hessian (blue), French (lilac).
