A map of south-eastern England showing the locations of the cantonments of the army in July 1761. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north to top.

The area covered extends from Ipswich (52°03'33"N 01°09'19"E) in the north to the south coast (not including the Isle of Wight), and from the east coast to Salisbury (51°04'09"N 01°47'44"E) in the west. The distances between London and the places of cantonment are given in miles along straight ruled red lines. The distances are broken into stages between the principal towns en route.

Condition: no fold lines; creases consistent with rolling; brown discolouration and surface dirt to both sides. Verso: ink smudges; induced discolouration.
