The facing page (RCIN 731068.b) lists the encamped regiments. The camp took place from 4 July to 12 October. The encamped regiments, under the command of Lt. General Sir John Mordaunt and Major General the Duke of Bedford are: 2nd Scotch Greys; 10th Mordaunt's Dragoons; 3rd Buffs; 8th Wolfe's; 12th Skelton's; 15th Amherst's; 20th Kingsley's; 33rd Ld. Ch. Hay's.
BL Add MS 15532: [8th f. numbered 5:] 'Plan of the Encampment near Blandford call'd Shroton Camp 1756'. Watermark: fleur-de-lys in crowned shield, a '4' suspending the letters L V G below.
