A list of the cannon, ammunition and numbers of officers and men of the Royal Artillery, 11 September 1747. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48).

This summary gives the number and calibre of the field guns allocated to each of eight brigades, and the same for the battalion guns; the totals for rounds of ammunition for guns and howitzers are given for each brigade: cartridges with round shot; quick firing round shot; grape shot; fixed shells; unfixed shells. The headings for the numbers of officers and men for each brigade are: Captains, Lieutenants, Serjeants or Corporals, Gunners and Mattrosses.

This tabulation is signed by Colonel Belford who commanded the Royal Artillery in Flanders in 1747-8; it may not have been written by him but may have been signed by him as an indication of the accuracy of its content.
