A map, with manuscript annotations, of Brabant showing the march routes and encampments of the Allied army during 1747 and 1748. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with north to top.
The southern sheets of this map are a republication for the market created by the War of the Austrian Succession by George Fricx of his uncle Eugene Henri Fricx's Carte des Pays-Bas et des frontières de France (1703-12) to which George Fricx added four northern sheets, three of which form the northern part of this assemblage. The map has been used as a base on which to plot the movements of the armies in 1747. The annotations are all by François Hancko.
