    A map of the encampment and fortified positions of the French Danubian army, under the command of the duc d'Harcourt, along the left bank of the Danube between Deckendorf and Winzer. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with north-north-east to top (compass rose).

    This example is a different state to that in the Marburg Archives (HstAM Karten WHK 21/25). The partly erased statement of the source of the original map on RCIN 728071 is changed, on WHK 21/25, to read: Suivant l'Original envoyé par M.rs les Ing.rs de l'Armée de Baviere.

    Condition: three fold lines and other crease marks; the engraved name of the sender of the original survey: ‘M.gr le Duc d'?’, has been scratched out. Verso: shadow or ghosting from the former presence of Cumberland's cipher label: VOL [IV] 39.
