A map of the encampment of the British army at Dongen, 1747. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with south to top (compass rose).

The march from the previous camp at Oisterwijk to Dongen was about 13 km (8 miles). According to the old catalogue entry for RCIN 730185, that camp at Dongen was pitched on 25 October. The encamped squadrons/battalions of the following regiments are present: First Line: Scots Greys, Guards, Howard, Dejean, Crawford, Johnson, Campbell, Rich. Second Line: Rothes, Pultney, Conway, Douglass, artillery, Fleming, Husk, Cope.

Condition: flat, no fold lines.
