A map of the encampment of the Allied army along the Scheldt on 22 June 1744. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with north to top. In the same hand as RCINs 729011, 729012, 729014, 729017, 729020, 729022, 729030, 729037-8, 729047-58.

This is a duplicate, in the same hand but rendered in French, of RCIN 729020. The encampments are on the east side of the River Scheldt, near Oudenaarde (50°51'06"N 03°36'32"E), between Mulde (Melden, 50°48'52"N 03°33'55"E) in the south and Gavere (50°55'45"N 03°39'42") in the north. The fortified lines at the bridgehead at Gavere are shown, together with the extent of woodland. The marshy inundations south of Oudenaarde are indicated by a bluish brown wash.
