George Augustus Schultz (active 1734-49)
A large-scale plan of the French lines at Gemersheim, destroyed by the Allied army, 3 October 1743. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with south-west to top. The attribution to Schultz is made on stylistic grounds and by reference to the George III catalogue entry.
A detailed large-scale topographical map of the immediate hinterland of Germersheim, showing the dam and inundations on the River Queich, the marshland between Germersheim and the dam, four cuttings on the road to the town, allowing water from the dam to reach the Rhine, and the line of the former French encampment. This plan would have formed part of the compilation materials for Schultz's map at RCIN 728103.
