This plan is a rough sketch of the area between the rivers Geer and Maas, south of St Peter's Fort, showing the projected line. Roads are sketched in and the position of an old intrenchment to the south-west of the line is shown. This appears to be part of the compilation materials used for Daniel Paterson's fair drawing of the area at RCIN 730159, on which the alignment of the fortified line, or intrenchment, is slightly different. The unnamed settlements west of the River Geer are, by reference to RCIN 730159, probably Enneekam, Leaubergh, and Op Can (Kanne 50°48'47"N 05°40'10"E).
One of eight sketches of the line and encampment on the west bank of the Maas which was part of the Allied army encampments which were made to the south and east of Maastricht after the Battle of Lafelt (2 July 1747), and while the siege of Bergen op Zoom (14 July-18 September 1747) was being conducted. The geographical relationship between the camp at St Peter's Hill and the rest of the army is shown on RCIN 730142. See RCINs 730158.a-h.
