A map of the operations of the French army, under the command of Marshal Saxe in Brabant in 1746. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with north to top.

The map extends from Antwerp (51°13'11"N 04°25'12"E) in the north-west to Herentals (51°10'35"N 04°49'56"E), and from Charleroi (50°24'40"N 04°26'40"E) in the south-west to south of Huy (50°31'08"N 05°13'58"E) in the south-east.

Condition: folded along gussets; several old tears and repairs. Verso: foxing, brown staining, water-stained patch, surface dirt.
