      A map of the encampment of the Allied army under the command of Prince Charles of Lorraine at Borgloon, 27-29 July 1746. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with west to top.

      The march from the previous camp at Zonhoven to Borgloon was about 20 km (12.4 miles). The camp (Austrians, English, Hanoverians, Hessians, Dutch and Corps de Reserve) extends over enclosed and cultivated land from Vellern (Wellen 50°50'27"N 05°20'19"E) in the north to Bommershoven (50°47'14"N 05°22'44"E).
