Map of encampment at Dartford Heath, 1745 (Dartford Heath, Kent, England, UK) 51°25'54"N 00°11'24"E
1745Pencil, pen, ink and watercolour on paper; laid down on coarse linen | Scale: not stated. 1:18,000 approx. | RCIN 729071
The camp is represented by a solid elongated red rectangle; the position of the Rear Guards shows that it was facing south-west. No regiments are named. The style of draughting is naive, resembling more a medieval estate plan than a topographical survey from the 1740s.
Condition: no fold lines; trimmed to edge of image.
