In the same hand as RCIN 728072, Camp at Eger October 1742. A detailed topographical map showing settlements, roads in ochre, meadowland or pasture in a flat green wash, cultivated land by brown cross hatching, sand and gravel banks by brown stippling. The relief is artistically rendered in brown hachures and shading. A line of fire from an Austrian battery at Gottfriding is targeted on two infantry battalions at Dingolfing, a distance of about 2 km. It is possible that the folded size of the map, together with the annotation ‘Enc’, indicates that it was sent to England in dispatches.

Condition: six fold lines: formerly folded (map inwards) to 14.8 x 11.9 cm. Verso: surface dirt on outer fold lines; ghosting from the removal of Cumberland's cipher label.
