    An order of battle in one line of British troops, reviewed by Field Marshal John Dalrymple, 2nd Earl of Stair (1673-1747) at Ghent on 10 November 1742. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48).

    The review was conducted on the banks of the River Scheldt. A bridge is drawn across the river and annotated ‘Bridge for the foot to / march over from the Brussells Port’. Regimental rectangles are coloured according to the uniforms. The following regiments are present: Hawley, Cadogan, Horse Grenadiers, 3rd and 4th Troops Horse Guards, Hertfords. Blue, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Battalion Foot Guards, Duroure, Ligonier, Pembroke, Cope and Rich.
