    An order of battle of the British and Austrian armies under the command of George II (1683-1760) in Flanders, 1742. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48).

    The General Officers of the First Line, under George II, are Marshals Duc D'Aremberg, Comte de Neiperg, Prince de Hesse, Comte de Stair; General de Pontpietin; Lieutenant-Generals Von Wendt, Comte de Dunmore, and Honeywood; Major-Generals Pauli, Wrangle, Soubiron, De Brandt, Howard, Greffendorf, Albemarle, Ligonier; Brigadiers Hammerstein, Monroy, Pulteney, Cornwallis, Frampton, Rothes.

    The General Officers of the Second Line are: Lieutenant-Generals Sommerfeldt, Comte de Chaclos, Campbell; Major-Generals De Launay, Van Ilten, Prince Frederick de Hesse, Cope, Hawley; Brigadiers Montignie, Huske, Onslow, Effingham, Ponsonby. The Reserve Corps is commanded by Lietenant-General de Baron de Courriere.

    Regimental names are given. The horse/dragoon and infantry rectangles are coloured according to nationality. British (red); Austrians and Hanoverians (green); Hessians (yellow). Other copies of this order of battle, in different hands, are at RCINs 728056 and 728057.
