A large-scale map of the Austrian attacks on Prague on the west bank of the River Moldau, in 1742. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with north to top.

The French defence lines inside the fortified walls are indicated, and the French encampments to the north and north-east of the city are shown in detail: all regiments are named. The line of fire from the Austrian batteries is drawn, and the outlines of the French field works, constructed in 1741 when they took the city, are engraved with solid and dotted lines. This map is based on compilation material given by Charles, Prince de Soubise (1715-87).
