A map of the siege of Bouchain, 6 August-13 September 1711, by the Allied army, commanded by John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough (1650-1722), resulting in the surrender of the French, commanded by Marshal Claude Louis Hector de Villars (1643-1734). War of the Spanish Succession (1701-14). Oriented with north-west to top.

The date of 6 August-13 September for the beginning of the siege and surrender of the fortress is taken from Ostwald (2007), p.343.

The map shows the lines of circumvallation, the Allied camps, the French entrenchments and the surrounding topography. The area covered is bounded by the following settlements: Fechein (Féchain 50°15'59"N 03°12'36"E), Fressaing (Fressain 50°17'14"N 03°11'39"E), Emerchicourt (Émerchicourt 50°18'28"N 03°14'43"E), Annis (Aniche 50°19'47"N 03°15'12"E), Sommain (Somain 50°21'34"N 03°16'51"E), Escaudain (50°19'59"N 03°20'39"E), Deuchi (Douchy-les-Mines 50°18'02"N 03°23'33"E), Hapre (Haspres 50°15'29"N 03°25'01"E), Thun S. Martin (Thun-Saint-Martin 50°13'32"N 03°17'53"E).
