A map of the siege of Lille by the Allied army commanded by Prince Eugène of Savoy (1663-1736), from 22 August to the surrender of the town on 29 October 1708. War of the Spanish Succession (1701-14). Oriented with north-east to top.

The lines of circumvallation and encampments of the Allied army are shown passing through or near Marquette (Marquette-lez-Lille, 50°40'34"N 03°03'58"E), Lambersart (50°39'00"N 03°02'00"E), Seclin (50°37'32"N 02°58'57"E), Haubourdin (50°36'29"N 02°59'29"E), Wattignies (50°35'11"N 3°02'38"E), Lezenne (50°36'55"N 03°06'48"E), Marque en Baroeul (Mons-en-Barœul 50°38'00"N 03°07'00"E).

The order of battle is shown between Noyelles (Noyelles-lès-Seclin 50°34'35"N 03°01'01"E) and Fretin (50°33'26"N 03°08'12"E).
