There is no accompanying text to explain the key letters on the map. The Allied armies are shown massed on the north side of Pirmasens. The companion 'Special Plan' of the Battle of Kaiserslautern (see RCINs 735017.a, b) is not present in K.Mil. The relief is shown by hachuring which is augmented by a wash of brown colour.
