A map of the siege of Valenciennes, 13 June and 28 July 1793. The command of the besieging forces was given to Prince Frederick, Duke of York and Albany (1763-1827), the second son of George III. French Revolutionary Wars (1792-1802): War of the First Coalition (1792-8). Oriented with west to top.

This plan is very similar in detail to the manuscript at RCIN 735012.c and may have been compiled from it, or a copy of it. The routes of the three columns of attack are coloured in red.

Condition: one fold line; surface dirt; slight brown staining. Verso: induced discolouration.
