A high oblique view of the Battle of Sant Llorenç de Montgai, near Belaguer, fought on 22 June 1645 by the French, commanded by Henri de Lorraine, Count of Harcourt (20 March 1601-25 July 1666) and the Spanish, commanded by the Captain-General of the Catalonian army, Andrea Cantelmo (1598-1645) resulting in a French victory. Catalan Revolt (1640-1659). Oriented with west to top.

The view shows the several crossing points of the River Segre which were affected by Harcourt's troops and the battle which took place between Belaguer and Llorens (Sant Llorenç de Montgai). The towns of Lerida (Lleida 41°37ʹ00ʺN 00°37ʹ20ʺE), Corbins (41°41ʹ00ʺN  00°42ʹ00ʺE) and Camarasa (41°52ʹ29ʺN 00°522ʹ41ʺE) are also shown.

An oval shield, bottom left, bears a crowned eagle under a motto in banderole: ‘Soli / Tour’ and a similar oval shield, bottom right, shows a dog, standing facing right, below a motto in banderole beginning: FIDEL / IS. ET. AV / DAX. The coat of arms of Henri de Lorraine appears bottom centre.
