An order of battle of the Allied army on the Rhine commanded by the Grand Duke of Tuscany, July 1745. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48).
Francis Stephen (1708-65) was the Grand Duke of Tuscany (1737-65), Holy Roman Emperor (elected 13 September 1745), and husband of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria.#
The order of battle is in two lines, commanded (under the Grand Duke of Tuscany) by Field Marshals Bathyany and Traun. The General Officers of the First Line are Generals (of infantry) Braun and Salm; Lieutenant-Generals Couriere, Grunne, Somerfeld, Soubiron, Smissaert, Prince Picolomini, Geisrüg, Suchery, Palfi; Major-Generals Gelkey, Ham[m]erstein, Rodt, Maydel, Lützen, Thierheim, Ariosti, Lannoy, Matka, Welvarth, Corbelany; Brigadiers Vreeden, Block, Roode v. Ekeren.
The General Officers of the Second Line are Lieutenant-Generals Holly, Luzanny, Druksleben, Bernslau, Prince Birckenfeld; Major-Generals Gross, Grothe, Rogendorff, Elberfeld, Klinkoustrom, Constante, Starenb[erg], Palfy, Ostein, Bretlach; Brigadiers Krough, Hoeuff v. Oyen.
The reserve corps is commanded by Lieutenant-Generals Busgkousky, Baronnay; Major-Generals Trips, Bournonville, Miensky.
