This is a detailed topographical map showing, in particular, the fluvial features and indicating areas prone to flooding by a deep bluey-green wash.
The planimetry of this map is very distorted; the coverage extends from around Marquain (Marquion 50°12'40"N 03°05'13"E) in the top left corner to Arras (50°17'34"N 02°46'54"E) in the top right corner, and from Pequencourt (Pecquencourt 50°22'42"N 03°12'46"E) in the bottom left corner to the area around Lens (50°25'58"N 02°49'40"E) in the bottom right. Many place-names, including Lécluse (50°16'36"N 03°02'25"E), are marked.
