According to the title page this map is partly copied from a survey made by Captain George Taylor. Taylor (c.1767-d.1841) was a land surveyor who served with the British Army in North America 1779-82. His Plan of the City of Aberdeen. The Old Town & the adjacent Country was surveyed in 1773.
